Chef at Slottsmässen in Finspång
ISS is one of the world's largest service companies, and this year we celebrate 80 years in Sweden! With over 6,500 employees in the country, from north to south, we deliver services that make a difference. We offer our customers everything from cleaning to technical services, food, and workplace services. We create workplaces where people thrive, companies grow, and where sustainability is a given – socially, environmentally, and commercially. Our employees are the heart of what we do – and crucial for our customers to feel secure, seen – and for their workplaces to flourish.
About the role
As a chef at Slottsmässen, you will work in a kitchen where we place great importance on craftsmanship, flavor, and presentation. We work with seasonal ingredients and prepare as much as possible from scratch – from bread and pastries to lunch dishes and event menus.
Our guests mainly consist of business guests, conference visitors, and hotel guests. The ambition is that every meal – whether it is breakfast, lunch, or dinner – should maintain a high gastronomic level and be delivered with pride.
The working hours are mostly during the day, but evenings and weekends may occur in connection with events, dinners, and arrangements.
Your main responsibilities:
- Prepare lunch dishes and other meals with a focus on flavor, ingredients, and presentation
- Participate in baking bread and snacks for the restaurant and conference activities
- Ensure high quality, good structure, and order in the kitchen
- Work according to applicable routines for hygiene, self-control, and ingredient handling
Location: Finspång, Östergötland
Employment type: Permanent position (full-time)
We offer
You will work closely with competent colleagues from whom you will gain a lot, as we value helping and developing each other. ISS's size and broad service offerings contribute to good development opportunities both nationally and globally. Our focus is on taking care of and developing our employees, as we believe that “People make places.” ISS offers various training and development opportunities – all to engage you and help you grow with ISS in the long term.
We highly value diversity and inclusion. At ISS, all people are equally valuable and have the same rights and opportunities. Our employees reflect the diversity of society, which is both a competitive advantage and an asset in our long-term sustainable work. Our inclusive corporate culture strengthens our employees, makes us more creative and productive, and creates a more attractive workplace.
ISS's values, which are fundamental to how we work, are quality, responsibility, honesty, entrepreneurship, and community. Therefore, it is important that you feel that you stand for a way of working and an attitude that is in accordance with these.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in cooking and who wants to develop within gastronomy. You are driven by curiosity, learning, and pride in your craft and thrive in a kitchen where food is made from scratch and where you constantly want to improve.
You do not need to have extensive experience – what matters most to us is your attitude, drive, and willingness to develop together with us.
Requirements
- Culinary education or equivalent basic kitchen knowledge
- A strong interest in cooking and gastronomy
- Drive, curiosity, and a desire to develop in the profession
- Good collaboration skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
